I’ve had joint pain for years, it’s just gotten worse and is unbearable with physical activity. No doctor has said anything appears wrong.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I am seeking help because I have been to every doctor that is available to me, and not a single one has been able to give concrete reasoning for the pain. They’ve sent me in circles; everyone gives a different reasoning and suggests a different solution, including everything from steroid injections to physical therapy. I am only 16, and I’m tired of not being able to participate in activities my friends do because of how bad my pain is. It is also holding me back in the career I am beginning to pursue (dance/theatre). So far I have: worn a brace, worm a waking boot, used KT tape, gotten massages, x-rays, MRIs, and physical therapy. And most of that was just for my ankle, which is the worst out of all of my joints. I was told by one doctor the pain was because I had scoliosis, and then I went to a doctor who specialized in that and was told the other doctor didn’t know what he was talking about, and it was obviously just my ankle. Anyway, the point is, I’m fed up of having to live with this pain and seemingly no solution. While my ankle is the absolute worst of my joints, they are all (shoulders, hips, back, fingers, etc.) constantly sore, and doing any sort of physical activity (walking, running, lifting, etc.) immediately causes pain that won’t go away for days. I had blood tests done which showed it wasn’t arthritis, however I was told to come back “if I have joint pain”, which was the whole reason we were there anyway. I have been unanime to pursue what I want to do in my future because of how much it hurts me, and it’s even starting to implacable my education because some days I just can’t get out of bed to go to school because of how bad it is, and I have completely run out of options, which is why I’m turning to this.
