At 13 I started to pack on weight. At 16 I 1st started to try to find out why. Nothing looked out of the ordinary as far as my blood work looked. Told it was hormonal and I needed birth control. Pills added more weight and out of control gain. But I felt some what better. At 16 I was told my systolic b/p was too high but my diastolic pressure was normal so not to do anything there. By the time I was 21 and married I could get pregnant but didn't carry past 8 weeks. Happened 3 times. Told by a specialist that it wasn't hormonal, went to a naturalist explained what my symptoms where after he had me track my basal body temperature and it was averaging 97.0 and was told it was absolutely hormonal and he got me on armour thyroid 3 grain and progesterone for parts of my cycle. I was exercising and eating what I wanted but not in excess and low and behold I was finally losing weight. Fast forward 3 months I was expecting and had made it to the 2nd trimester. We had 5 kids, one set of twins, in 4 years. In that time the doctor I was seeing retired. Back to square one after my last child sent me back in to the rapid weight gain no matter what I did. I gained nearly 80 pounds after she was born. Along with painful irregular cycles the only thing regular about them is the start for 2 days take a 18-24 hour break and restart. Every doc I seen did thyroid tests and said my numbers were fine and there was nothing wrong with me, basically I wasn't trying hard enough. I began tracking my basal body temperature again and low and behold I'm now average below 96.5. Along with all this my headaches and migraines, which are never frequent enough to prevent. Just days of suffering because of them.
