- CASE FILE
My Mother has what has been diagnosed as Geniculate neuralgia. But nothing has worked to help her pain. Doctors are out of ideas.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My Mother has what doctors say is Geniculate neuralgia. She has had this for almost 2 decades now and the doctors have not been able to do anything but experiment with different medications and sometimes the doctor did not know that those medications mixed together would cause her to be in worse pain. Morphine and every other kind of pain med has only made it slightly tolerable. My mother has missed out on multiple big events in my life as in seeing her grandchildren at birthday parties and it breaks my heart that she can not come due to the pain. She has been medically disabled for a long time now and can not even drive anymore and spends most of her time in a chair at home trying to combat the pain. There is a lot that I may be missing, if someone would be interested in helping my mother they could call and talk to her to be able to get more details. There has to be something more than surgery with a 5% success rate or drugs for her to get better. My daughter is 5 and son 1 1/2 years old and it would kill me to see my kids grow up without their grandma to watch them grow.
