At age 2, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, then it was Rheumatoid Arthritis, and now, it's Idiopathic Arthritis.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
When I was just 2 years old, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Now it's being called Idiopathic Arthritis, and it's a very severe case. I have seen almost 60 doctors in my lifetime. No real help has been given to me. Ever. I've had a few corrective surgeries, but only a few, as one of them didn't take place, because they almost took my life away instead. I've been quietly suffering with this debilitating, chronic, crippling disease now, for 48 years of my life. I refuse to let it take me out. I've been positive through it all, day after day, and considering myself lucky, even though my own mother never understood why. It has taken my entire body over, head to toe, at first glance, no one would know this. Upon further observations, you can definitely see the toll it's taken. I still do not require any assistive devices of any kind, and i have always taken care of myself without the help of others. Most doctors are pretty stunned/shocked at my case, and, how well I'm able to have done and still do in life, with almost 50 years worth of this horrible cure-less disease attacking me as badly as it has. Quite miraculous.
