ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
For 11 years I've been to doctors, through test after test. All my symptoms lead to thyroid disorder, but all my levels all the tests say my thyroid is fine. My thyroid is enlarged. Every doctor I've been to asks me what's wrong with my thyroid when they walk through the door because they can see it from the door. Ive had extreme hair loss and weight gain. Ive tried everything to lose weight and can't. I have chronic pain, fatigue that's getting worse, and sleepiness. I am up and down through the night and when I wake up, even if I get a full night's sleep, I feel like I haven't slept in days. I could sit down and fall asleep in minutes. I was tested for sleep apnea, and nothing is wrong there. I had a nodule on my thyroid show up on an ultrasound about 2 years ago, but my levels always test normal. Ive been told I have carpal tunnel and rheumatoid arthritis, but my symptoms aren't caused by this. I feel like the doctors don't care, they just want me to keep coming back. No one will figure it out and everything keeps getting worse.
