ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Spontaneous Acute Subdural Hematoma required brain surgery to remove the bleed Nov. 2016
November 2016 went into the ER with extreme headaches , numbing legs, very lethargic, vomiting , neck pain, light sensitivity could not function. A CT scan was done and came back negative was admitted and several more tests done after 6 days she was much better appeared fine and released. They kept saying must be migraine’s however, had never had any type headaches prior to this. The following morning again had the extreme headache very lethargic and same symptoms rushed again to the ER. They again said nothing more they could do and they had tested already for the past week and still believed to be migraine’s. After staying for about 8 hours and my Mom refused to take me home in that condition and pushed that I had never been like this and something was wrong they decided to do one more CT scan and came back and said it was Spontaneous subdural hematoma and were rushing me to have emergency brain surgery to remove the bleeding.
No one could ever tell us what caused this nor why the first 2 CT scans were clear the prior week when I had the exact same symptoms the week prior. All they would do is treat the current problem. Since that time I have had many different symptoms that come and go and not always the same and continue to not feel well with body aches and feeling faint and some days hard to function. I have had many blood tests and more CT scans not really indicating anything specific.
I listed below some results from most recent blood work that were off and ongoing symptoms. The symptoms come and go and are not always the same other then continues to be very fatigued daily and just overall ill feeling.
I have followed up with many different doctors and no one can determine what is causing the symptoms. The family doctor tried to get me in to the Mayo clinic for clinical study but there is a year waiting list. So we are still searching for answers . I worry every day and feel something is seriously wrong and that I will not be here for my 3 children as I am a single mother. I just want answers of why at age 33 I feel so terrible daily so I can get proper treatment. I am at a loss as to which way to turn or what type of doctor to see. Over the past few years I have the following doctors and had many blood tests, xrays, Ct scans, ultrasounds, etc.
