ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
At the age of 22, a sudden sharp pain happen one night, resulting in what felt like sever heart burn. Severe symptoms lasted for months and still continue. Heart beat began to change. Irregular beats, elongated beats, skipped beats, you name it, my heart did it. Air would get trapped resulting in difficulties. I can feel where the air gets trapped. Like a bubble, I feel it working it's way through my lungs and esophagus, until I am able to force it out through burping. Can feel air "bubbling" and escaping sometimes around where my heart is; like air escaping a balloon (happens a lot when drinking carbonated beverages). Some have become mild and I have learned to live with it. However, it feels as my body is in constant flight or fight mode. Any anomaly I experience, results in panic attack like symptoms. Exercise results in heart symptoms worsening and drops in blood. pressure.
Many tests of been done to no avail. Only confirmed conditions are Bicuspid Aortic valve (which I've had from birth) with subtle regurgitation. Also a mitro-valve prolapse. Blood pressure drops have been confirmed in stress tests and irregular heartbeats during longer term EKGs (via heart monitors).
Nothing has been able to explain anything else. I have lost hope in finding out what is wrong or what happened that night. Has affected my life extremely and stills cares me to this day.
