- CASE FILE
Woke up in 2003 unable to feel from waist down. Now in power chair full time. We know it's something autoimmune but can't get any further.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been misdiagnosed with lupus, MS, amyloidosis and other, lesser illnesses. I awoke one morning and was unable to feel my legs or control my bladder. I've gone through more than 50 surgeries, including pacemaker insertion, colostomy placement followed by ileostomy placement, urostomy placement, total hysterectomy, multiple joint replacements and multiple other surgeries. I have extreme nerve pain in my hands and feet, numbness and paresthesias in my feet and joint swelling and pain in multiple joints. I have headaches and vision difficulties, as well.
