ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I've always carried a high white blood cell count and high inflammation markers in my blood. I've tested positive on 3 separate occasions for ANA (Lupus). The symptoms got worse as I got older after a traumatic event. Extreme fatigue, joint pain and swelling, diffused body pain, migraines, low grade fevers on and off, dry skin, memory issues (fibro fog) , insomnia, anxiety, panic disorder, skin and nail discoloration (turning either red or blue in the case of my nails. I've been to 4 different rheumatologists and a doctor that specializes in immune/cancer issues. No one has been able to tell me what is wrong except I've been given the diagnosis of fibromyalgia, anxiety disorder, and insomnia. They just throw pills at me (which don't really work). I have to force myself to get up and get on with life which can be extremely difficult especially if I am in a flare, or I am having issues with my hands or joint swelling/pain. I'd really like to know why I am having these issues, what is going on with my unusual lab work (cancer runs in my family so there is a concern there), and I'd like to get an actual treatment and not just have a doctor put me on medicine and send me on my way.
