I have an unidentifiable mass growing around my heart. I’ve been poked/prodded without any conclusive answers. afraid I’ll die w/o answers
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been seeing doctors at Virginia Mason hospital in Seattle for the last 18 months. I presented with night sweats, cough and feeling like there was an elephant sitting on my chest which makes it hard to get a deep breath without discomfort and pain. I am a Hodgkin lymphomas survivor from 2002. I’ve had ct scans and PET scans. The mass has come back every time as being PET positive. I’ve had a needle biopsy and a VATs surgery which have come back inconclusive. I’ve been tested for Igb-4, even though I don’t fit the profile geographically. I had an echocardiogram, vascular ultrasounds. I had been put on high doses of prednisone for months until that was finally driving my emotions crazy. I have had infusions of Ruxitan to reduce inflammation of the mass which didn’t do anything. To this day I still have night sweats, massive fatigue, hard time breathing, cough, vertigo and headaches, and there is still an elephant on my chest.
I can’t do my normal routine. I used to walk 3-5 miles a day, stairs at work. But I no longer have the stamina. Even walking through the grocery store is tiring. I am no longer living my best life, instead a zombie limping through it. No on will surgically touch it. My will to live decreases each day. Please help find out what this is and how to treat it.
