Continued bacterial and fungal infections/Possible Chronic Granulomatous Disease(CGD)
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I continue to have life threatening bacterial and fungal infections. Doctors say it is possibly adult onset CGD, but cannot test for it, since I am in a rural area. They (three different doctors) have told me to go to Mayo, but I cannot afford to make that trip - financially, or otherwise. I continue to need IV antibiotics, but have not been able to complete a single course of antifungals due to reactions, which included Voriconazole, Amphotericin B Liposomal (Ambisome), with a bridge to Posaconazole. I had a severe respiratory and dermatologic reaction to both Voriconazole and Posaconazole, and my kidneys shut down with Ambisome. Those were the only medications offered to me by infectious disease.
There are too many symptoms to list, as I cannot tell which symptoms are from the infections, or my other diseases.

Hx of C Diff (2002), VRE and MRSA (2009 and 2010) with septic emboli and bacteremia. There are many comorbidities with each of these diseases.
