7 years of suffering from numbness as well as burning pain after suffering from a Transient Ischemic Attack. Misdiagnosed by multiple partie
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
2012 I was hospitalized for an Transient Ischemic Attack. Within a month I started to experience a buzzing in my ears followed by a numbness that would spread throughout my body. These episodes lasted any where between 40 minutes to a few hours. Would have 2 to 3 days worth of these and then they would stop for up to a month or 2. I was seeing the top Neurologist in my area and after multiple tests and scans even while experiencing and episode he was never able to give me a clear diagnosis. Since then I have seen 2 more Neurologists as well as multiple doctors and each one has done blood work checking my electrolyte levels , cat scans with and without contrast, MRI scans and still keep getting only generalized diagnosis including Atypical Migraines, Neuropathy and Parathesis. Which is a generic term for my symptoms. I have been subscribed everything from anti seizure meds to vitamin b12 and now my symptoms have escalated to include burning pain throughout my body and extreme joint pain as well as episodes that last days at a time. I am frustrated and desperate to find answers so that I can continue to care for my family and myself.
