ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been tested for a whole slew of autoimmune disorders and have seen dozens of specialists. There is a concurrence that I have a rare, autoimmune disorder that may be new or very very rare. I have traveled extensively for my job to South America, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean so there are concerns a rare tropical disease may also be causing my extreme issues. I have not been able to eat normally or live pain free for the past two years with increasing severity of symptoms. I have had 2 surgeries in the last 6 months and the found multiple, complex tumors in my last surgery in June that are non-cancerous and very rare. All tests, labs, and surgical results indicate a rare autoimmune disease or series of overlapping diseases. I need to be seen at a specialty clinic like Mayo or Hopkins as all the specialists I have seen have indicated this is outside of their expertise. All of my symptoms are increasing in intensity and I need help getting the right treatment team. I am 38 years old and I want to live my life. I have worked hard to break glass ceilings and carve an amazing career supporting our military fight transnational crime as a defense contractor. I have accomplished so much with my physical limitations and cannot begin to dream of what I could do if I felt ok and wasn't constantly fighting off sickness and surgeries. Please help me figure this out and continue my life's work.
