ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
While driving in the early mornings (6:00 am) I experience episodes where my face will become numb, my eyelid extremely heavy, lips numb, and I blackout. Some days I am out for 2-3 hours, others I will be fine after 15 minutes. I have seen several doctors, neurologists, headache specialists, and epilepsy specialist at very well know hospitals in the United States. EEG was normal. Doctors don't know what it is that is causing this. I had the epilepsy specialist tell to get Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I only have these episodes during the months of November thru March. Of course, due to my other conditions, Trigeminial Neuralgia and Burning Mouth Syndrome I have been tested for other diseases such as Sjogrens Syndrome, RA, lupus and I also have taken a cocktail of meds, Gabepentin 3000mg a day, cymbalta 120 mg a day, topamax 100 mg a day, and indomethacin 225 mg a day. I have just recently weened off all the meds and take supplements and vitamins. I feel as though I am at an end, and there are no answers. I can not drive in the mornings, which cause an inconvenience for my family to get me to work at 6:30 am. I am a teacher for students with special needs. I need to be "on my game" all day.
