- CASE FILE
Woke up 9 years ago with a daily debilitating headache. Numerous healthcare providers and procedure have yet to identify its source or fix.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My initial and continuing complaint is a bone-crushing headache, much like a spinal tap headache where it feels like the brain is sitting directly on the spinal column and pain also radiates to the neck and shoulders. No neurologist (10 in total) has been able to identify the source or cause of the condition despite multiple traditional headache medications (like Topamax) procedures and treatments (including Botox, DHE, nerve blocks, lidocaine drip). They have forwarded me to pain management to help reduce (but not eliminate) the daily pain which I have had oral opiates, a pain infusion pump and current neurostimulator. Since the onset of the headache I have developed a number of other conditions and symptoms affecting my immune system, muscular system, gastrointestinal system, general body pain (fibromyalgia), degenerative spinal issues, insomnia, anxiety and total loss of teeth. I am hoping that someone can connect the dots or get outside the box to diagnose the cause of my condition and provide a solution.
