- CASE FILE
Pain on my right abdomen area that occurs when my body is stressed, such as working out too hard, not enough sleep, or eating poorly.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been experiencing severe abdominal pain on the right side just below the rib cage for almost 10 years now. It starts as a dull pain, but as the day goes on, it gets sharper and sharper, until I cannot stand it anymore and I have to sit or lay down. I have seen many doctors, had MRI's, CT scans, ultrasounds, x-rays, and bloodwork, but everyone says everything is fine and that I am perfectly healthy. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and Gilbert's syndrome in the search to find out what is wrong with my abdominal pain. When I stress my body out, such as working out too hard, the next day I feel incredibly fatigued, I feel hungover and it feels like there is even poison running through my veins even though I very rarely drink alcohol. I get headaches during this time and my brain feels foggy. I notice drinking large amounts of water will help with the abdominal pain. I get fatigued very easily. Just running a few errands will make me so tired. It is really affecting my life because I don't have the energy to do the things I want to do. I have to take a lot of breaks because the pain gets so bad. Just going to Disneyland with my family is tough and I have to take a lot of breaks. I have tried every treatment that people suggest. Some have helped a little bit, but most of the time it makes things worse. I have tried supplements, support groups, I have had surgeries to attempt to make the pain go away, but it is still here and creating a poor quality of life for me. I just want to feel normal.
