Former Recon Marine, Desert Storm-Gulf War Illness, Somalia-allergic reaction to mefloquine resulting in severe nerve damage.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Over the past 10 years I've experienced extreme nerve pain in my hands and arms. I have lost feeling in my right leg which has decreased my ability to walk and do every day activities. 3 years ago I had spinal surgery to repair leaking spinal fluid and to attempt to alleviate the severe pain in my hands and arms. Unfortunately it didn't work. The VA put me on Oxycodone and eventually on Hydrocodone. Since then I have transitioned to Lyrica, but the symptoms still persist. I'm in a lot of pain and no doctor can tell me why. I'm desperate for answers and hope that someone can help me.
