- CASE FILE
I have been to many doctors and tried many therapies for back pain that I've had since my teens. I just want it to stop for good!
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My back pain started in my teens and has continuously gotten worse. I have tried chiropractic, TENS, massage therapy, physical therapy, Reiki healing, stretching, motion, rest, acupuncture, strengthening exercises, epidural injections, test for burning the nerves, neck surgery, narcotics, steroids, OTC pain killers, muscle relaxants, topical pain medicines - I can't even remember everything. I'm allergic to NSAIDS. I've seen many doctors and specialists; the last pain specialist said that it was chronic back pain and there was nothing they could do. I am in pain basically all day, every day. I need to lose weight, but exercise makes my pain worse. Massage therapists are always amazed at how tight my muscles are and they will spasm when they start to work on them. Mostly, it's aching and sharp pains - occasionally, I'll have a muscle spasm that's really painful to the point that I can't move my back. I will have days where my neck muscles are so tight and sore, I can barely move my head. I have changed beds twice and have yet to find one that does not leave me in pain in the morning.
I have a 6 year old son who is very active and I really want to do active things with him, but I can't because of my back. I feel like I am making him miss out on opportunities to do some really cool things because I can't stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
