- CASE FILE
I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) 3 years ago after a foot / ankle surgery.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
CRPS is the most painful disease on the McGill pain scale. The is no cure for this awful disease, and it can / does spread. CRPS causes many additional issues, to include, but not limited to pain, heat/ cold sensitivity, bone degeneration, organ failure, additional autoimmune diseases, allodinia (sensitivity to touch), painsomnia and many other complications.
There is no cure for this disease and it is also called the suicide disease, because people can only handle so much pain at any given time for any length of time.
It is a disease that is a neurological and autoimmune disease. It impacts the systematic nervous system (fight or flight), it causes the body to believe there is more pain than there actually is. It is rated the most painful disease in the McGill Pain index and is classified as a rare disease.
