Chronic kidney condition that struck my daughter at the age of 14. She is now 17 and about to be considered for a second kidney transplant.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
The diagnosis is focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. This disease causes high blood pressure, high cholesterol, elevated protein, elevated creatine levels. enzymes and elektrolytes are not normal (vitamin D, calcium) , overall feeling of not feeling well. Swelling in face and ankles from edema. There is no known cause for what causes the disease. We only know the end result is kidney failure. There is no cure, only a temporary fix in the form of many medicines and kidney transplants
