ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My name is Paige! I am 25 years old, and I hoping this is the start of a miracle! It all started when I was 13 I recieved the gardisil shot, and had an "adverse" reaction. Shortly after I had fevers and felt extremely weak. A couple weeks later I am unable to walk and had to be carried to where ever I had to go if I didnt drag myself on the floor. Everything just hurt, and I couldnt get the strength or power to lift my muscles. Everything felt weighted..I felt everything. Before this I was a highly active never sick child so this was very concerning for all of us. When my mother reached out to the doctors they said every child reacts differently to give me tylenol but thankfully mothers know best and she took me to the hospital. The local hospital did a bone tap and sent me home with no answers. Instead of getting better in 48 hrs I was worse. My mother took me to CHOPS. This was the start of my journey.. where questions didnt have answers it only had decisions. Some that were soon shown to be life and death. Longstory story I was diagnosed with leukemia, then told it was an infectious disease. I was quarantine when I wasnt getting better then they told I had arthritis. I was "treated" and eventually sent home. Soon after medications ate a hole in my stomach and perforated. I was life flighted from brick nj to Philly. I was told to give my family goodbye calls because of my odds. I survived it, to find out the medications also had gave me avn in both my hips! I had two core decompression surgeries to try to save my hips but a few years later they failed. I had to get two bilateral hip replacements, one at a time due to my anemia! After healing I started seeing a hemotologist because my blood work came back positive for cancer.. to find out I dont have it my blood work reads the way it does bc of the long use of certain medications that are in the same family for both diseases.. I continue to see him, to make sure my bloodwork is okay! Although my hips are better, im cancer free, I now have bone on bone in both my knees, and suffer chronic pain all day everyday for the past two years. No treatment ever helped me, it made me question if I even have arthritis, but with the amount of doctors I have been to that cant be possible? Can it? I continue to follow docotors orders and am a willing patient to try anything to get me close to normal again or even just pain free! Im hoping you guys are up for the challenge!
