I Have Chronic Pain From A Car Accident Almost 10 Years Ago. No One Can Figure Out Why. But Now I Can't Work, Clean, Or Do Fun Things.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I deal with chronic pain from a car accident in December 2009. I was 5'10" 145lbs and a size 7. Perfectly healthy. Played tennis, rock climbed, and exercised. In my car accident, I was sitting at a stop light in a small Chevy Aveo, I got hit from behind by an Audi A4 going 40mph and hit a Chevy Avalanche in front of me. I was wearing my seatbelt and did not see her coming. No airbags went off. I did not have any broken bones. However, I had bad neck pain right away. I started getting worse neck pain and went to a friend's chiropractor for a while and my neck pain turned into back pain as well, that was getting worse. My pain has only spread and gotten worse since then and because of that I have not been able to work, exercise, sleep, or do fun activities. My pain is all day and night and constant pain. I can't sit, stand, walk, or lie down to make it feel better. The only thing that has made it feel better is narcotics and that is really just a bandaid. I do not have narcotics nor do I take narcotics currently. I have seen physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, pain management specialists, rehab specialists, massage therapists, and too many PCP's to count. And no one seems to know what is wrong. They all go through the same muscle relaxers, anti inflammatories and then give up and say it must just be fibromyalgia. I have had multiple MRI's, X-Ray's, and CT's. All coming back clear except having lesions on my brain consistent with having chronic migraines. I'm seeking your help to find what's really going on. Because my family and I don't buy that being perfectly healthy before a car accident and then to have your body completely break down is just fibromyalgia (a group in) because they can't figure it out.
