ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been passing out for the past 3 years. Episodes are not typical fainting spells because they last 15-30 minutes. I have seen multiple specialists who have given diagnoses of Hyperadrenergic POTs, EDS and MCAS but no one can explain the cause of the prolonged syncopal episodes. i also have acquired a hand and leg tremor with no specific cause- there is nothing that triggers the event and i have no warning. I have had EEGs, Holter monitors, tilt table test (positive) and EPS studies. Currently on cardiac meds, histamine blockers and give myself IV fluids 5x week through a portacath. I continue to have these events despite the medications. I most recently had a LINQ recorder inserted as well. I also have a genetic variance of unknown significance (HSN11A heterozygous partial deletion of exon 19, SLC52A2 and HSAN7) noted on genetic testing. My epinephrine and norepinephrine levels are low (contrary to POTS) and had a basic immunology workup. I am unable to work or drive and don't leave my house without someone with me. I have severe migraines, brain fog after each episode, fatigue, anxiety and depression.
