In December of 2018, a month after my mom passed, I noticed that I was starting to get sick. It started with just your average allergies. I would sneeze and have post nasal drip down the back of my throat which affected my swallowing and eating. A week into not feeling any better I started to have constant panic attacks that would send me to urgent care. During this time I lost my appetite and couldn't eat anything and just attributed it to being sick and potentially having the flu. As time went on, I didn't regain my appetite at all. I went to the doctors and he prescribed a pill to help stimulate my appetite. A little time passes and I finally start to regain my appetite a bit but at this time, my body started to feel sluggish, I was tired all the time and felt dizzy and lightheaded as if I was going to pass out at any time during the day. Around this time, I developed a clicking sound in my throat which I thought was just due to my allergies and sinuses but an ENT found nothing wrong with my sinus and said that it was my tongue spasming and pushing against my hyoid bone and said that it was either neurological or muscular-skeletal. I got an MRI and my results came back perfectly fine but they did find that I had a partially empty sella. My body started to feel weird where I couldn't feel certain sensations and my arms, hands and legs felt numb. I started to go to chiropractor which helped a bit but never fully helped. Every day that has passed I never feel like my true self. I am constantly having to move my jaw around and I can hear chafing of bones and cartilage, I have lower back and abdominal pain that won't go away no matter how many times I go to the chiropractor, my spine feels off and I still have constant post nasal drip.
