Uncontrollable body movements similar to a seizure, stuttering, and weakness in legs
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
So I started having these “episodes” about a year ago where my body moves uncontrollably. It looks like I’m having a seizure, but I am able to see, hear, talk, and walk. It happens in my legs, hips, arms, hands, head, and eyes (sometimes in my mouth). The “episodes” can last on and off for two weeks at a time. They always happen randomly, so I’m unable to tell what triggers them. During these episodes, I develop a stutter and delayed speech. My legs also get very weak and I struggle to stand up and walk. I also get tingly sensations throughout my body, but mainly in my face. I have been to many neurologists and primary care doctors, but I haven’t gotten any answers as to what this may be. I have also had many test done that came back normal, including an mri on my brain and spine, an emg test on my legs and feet, ct scans, and an ekg.
