- CASE FILE
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and Sjorgren's Syndrome so far. I had symptoms of joint stiffness in my 20s and now I'm in my 60s.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have a chronic condition which have gotten progressively worse. The most difficult symptom I have to deal with at any given time is unbearable muscle spasms and severe stiffness. I have severe leg pain when I stand for a prolong period of time, e.g. Grocery shopping or cooking a meal and cleaning up afterwards. My gums stay painful and sore no matter what. A flare up may last for about 5 days at a time. I have thinning hair and a large bald spot. I have dry, running, watery eyes. Other symptoms include: Holes in ear get sore and painful when I wear earrings, digestive problems, transient nerve pain, advanced sciatica, herniated disc, stiffness in muscles and joints ,all over body, including spasms in face at times, etc., etc.
Presently I am going to physical therapy again and seeing a pain specialist. I take methocarbamol which doesn't seem to do much for the cramps. I am given lyrica for my fibromyalgia but it is not really helping much. I am in dire straights because of the severe pain and severe lack of stamina I am on disability when I should be working. I can hardly take care of myself financially because of this. I am presently working on getting money to get these painful teeth out of my mouth. Besides that I wake up every morning with back pain and cramps when I use my muscles to move. When I bend down to pick anything up I have to hold on and pull myself up but I have had the leg pain since I was in my 20s. I have considered suicide when those pains became unbearable.
