- CASE FILE
Dengue fever caused myelopathy, Syringomelia of the cervical spine. 3 years later I have a paralyzed neck, partial arm paralysis, eye pain.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
The beginning of all of this started in November 2016 when i was diagnosed with transverse myelitis of the cervical spine. I contracted Dengue Fever from a mosquito that i got on our honeymoon in Hawaii. I was in a hosptial bed 5 weeks after getting married trying to find answers as to why i was coming to beat death multiple times.
Currently i have syringomelia and discs and vertebrae’s that are not where they should be in the spinal Column. I saw neuro surgeons at NYU and they said basically just give up because if nothing has changed in 3 years it won’t ever change. He said they need to fix my neck but they can’t because of the location and how the syrinx is from c2-c7.
