ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Diagnosed with stage 1 endometriosis. Had surgery to remove what was found but never felt any release from pain or pressure. Two months later surgery to remove part of uterus, right ovary, and right Fallopian tube. Still never felt release. Seen specialists and many doctors. Been given many different diagnoses but they have given up. I take birth control continuously because periods for me are so painful I’m hospitalized. Every 2-3 months I end up bleeding, which induces so much vomiting I can’t keep down water and end up in the ER to get fluids. This lasts as long as 3 weeks sometimes and nothing I do helps. I feel so helpless. My blood lightens and then randomly gets heavier. I lose my appetite completely. There is no notice, it just happens suddenly and is a very rapid decline. I experience excruciating pain in my abdominal area that sometimes creates numbness down my legs and wraps around to my back so I can’t stand, sit or lay down. Heat sometimes helps. Showers sometimes help. But otherwise I’m told I’ll live with this my entire life and I’m only a month shy of my 21st birthday.
