ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My pain is not in my joints, it’s more like above or below . I’ve had two knee X-rays which were normal. Two shoulder xrays which showed very mild arthritis. My first CRP was 5x normal but WESR has never been elevated. All other labs normal. PCP initially sent me to physical therapy but they said I have normal range of motion & frlt my issues were systemic. I tried 1 week of daily prednisone & I had no pain. After that I was sent to rheumatologist who put me on meloxicam 15 daily for 6 months. It did not help. Now I am on cymbalta 30 but I don’t see much difference. I take 1000mg Tylenol daily and that helps more than anything. I was waking up several times at night with pain/numbness in my arms but it’s stopped. My toes will draw up on their own frequently-it’s like the beginning of a charley horse but the pain doesn’t really come. I have some arthritis like pain in both hands & feet but it’s mild. I am also losing weight without any effort. I’ve lost 23 pounds in 5 months. I have hypertension, psoriasis & oral lichen planus.
