Birth control gives me strong contractions that last for days at a time. It's been a year since my last "episode" and my "." never came back
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
The first time I took birth control, I had the depo shot. One month later, I got terrible contractions every two minutes for 8 days in a row. I went to the ER 3 times that week and no one would take me seriously because I wasn't pregnant. But I lost a lot of blood vaginally. My menstrual cycle was completely messed up for years. 3 years later, I tried a different form of birth control. Sure enough, I got contractions again. Two minutes apart, and more painful than I could ever imagine. Back to the ER. I have to wear adult diapers to help with the amount of blood I was losing. 4 different types of pain meds we're given to me through and IV and it still wouldn't take the edge off my pain. I was sent home because the doctors didn't know what to do with me. I had to suffer at home for a couple days. It's been a year since that happened and my period has never returned. My husband and I want kids, but doctors want to give me birth control to try to get my cycle back to normal. I am terrified of trying anything else because the pain is too great. The next time I have contractions, I want it to be because I am giving birth.
