Constant throbbing pain (Abdomen). Suffering almost 5 years, I believe my colon is the problem.Excruciating pain after a bowel movement
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I’ve been suffering with this constant throbbing pain in my upper middle abdomen for almost five years. It never goes away - ever. Trying to get answers as to what’s causing it or how to cure it is consuming my life. I have been to at least 30 doctors and not one of them has been able to find the cause. I’ve had CT scans, x-rays, MRI’s, ultrasounds, colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, anal manometry, defecographies, MRCP’s, ERCP,s. I’ve had surgery for bowel obstructions, adhesions, rectal prolapse, rectal/vaginal fistula. I’ve had a hysterectomy, my gallbladder and appendix removed. I’ve been prescribed vicodin, percocet, morphine, Xanax, Lyrica, Cymbalta, Protonix, Sulcrafate, Linzess, Zofran, Flexeril, Tramadol, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline, and Nortriptyline. I have tried Acupuncture. Chiropractic and Visceral Manipulation. I’ve tried medical marijuana, trigger point injections, celiac plexus blocks and most recently ketamine infusions. I would submit to colostomy if that would take this pain away. It’s always awful but after a bowel movement I feel like I’m going to die.
