- CASE FILE
Our 17 y/o daughter suffers from extreme fatigue, PEM, and brain fog. We are seeking some relief for her as yet undiagnosed ME/CFS.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
In the course of about six months, our daughter has gone from a straight A student and Olympic hopeful athlete to a young person who needs 18+ hours a day of sleep and can barely function. She suffers from extreme fatigue, brain fog, post exertinal malaise (PEM) disautonomia, tachycardia and perhaps POTS. She is supposed to graduate from high school in November, but is way behind with her schoolwork because she is exhausted and her brain just won't function. She has seen general physicians, rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, allergists and nutritionists and nobody has offered her any sort of medication or help. She is suffering, stressed and dejected. She hopes to attend a top college, med school and become a pediatric surgeon, but unless she can reduce her symptoms, her dreams may never be realized.
