ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I’ve had Crohn’s disease for 22 years. Have been on every treatment that is available. My symptoms continue to get worse the older I get. My joint pain can be very debilitating. Ive had my hip replaced at 33 due to it. My recent issues are perianal fistulas. I’ve had 9 surgeries in less then a year trying to help them heal. The pain some days is beyond unbearable. I get rectal pressure, pain and bleeding frequently. There is currently no cure for crohns. I was in the process of starting a clinical trial for stem cells to help heal the fistulas but my disease is not clinically stable enough to be in the trial. I felt like it was finally my hope for healing but then to have it all taken away. I’m not sure how we are going to get my disease stable with not having treatment options available. I have gotten help out of state but no relief. I have frequent urgency diarrhea 10 plus times a day and extreme fatigue. I’m hoping that bringing more awareness to Crohn’s disease that there will be a cure someday! I’ll take remission at any point as well!!
