- CASE FILE
Having stomach and bowel movement issues for a few years now. Have seen many doctors and had multiple tests done with no answers.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
After my first pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage (molar pregnancy) in 2015 and needing to have a D&E. I started experiencing stomach issues with bowel movement discomfort and bleeding. I spoke to multiple doctors who all said it was possibly hemorrhoids from the pregnancy. When I was pregnant with my first daughter I had no symptoms and felt great but after delivery the pain in my stomach started. Had a colonoscopy, they mentioned IBS and inflammation. So I began to watch my diet closer and avoided certain foods. I had my second daughter in 2018 but I start experiencing more stomach pain and bowel issues after delivery. I spoke to my GI doctor and family doctor. Had a GI scope performed and it showed possible gluten intolerance or celiacs. Continued the low fodmap, diary, soy, corn and gluten free diet. Since all these diet restrictions and changes my health and life has been incredibly difficult. I am hungry but when I eat my stomach gets very upset. I have no energy for my family, I am losing weight, skin and hair are showing signs of problems. Little to improvements in my symptoms. They recently did a ultrasound and CT scan of my stomach to see something on my liver and gallbladder but I have to wait until November for a follow up test to see if anything has changed. I looked for a second option but they are just reviewing all past tests, biopsy slides and disagreed with the results, causing me to have more confusion and uncertainty. Since I'm not a medical professional none of this makes sense and I'm very confused. The new doctor is suggesting an antibiotic but I'm worried to take it and cause more stomach discomfort.
I'm just a mother and wife trying to be healthy for my family. I am doing all I can but I'm not getting any answers and my health is getting worse.
