40 year old female suffering from Gerd after gallbladder removal, Diarrhea from Proton Pump Inhibitor use, Anxiety & Lichen Sclerosus
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I am a 40 year old female who was diagnosed with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) after a Cholecystectomy (Gall Bladder Removal). I was prescribed a Proton Pump Inhibitor (Omeprazole) the PPI works to treat the GERD very well and if I do not take the PPI I feel like I am going to die. The PPI use has led to Chronic Diarrhea which leads to dehydration and cramping, so I take Loperamide to help with that.
I also have General Anxiety Disorder since I was a child and I take Prozac daily.
Lichen Sclerosus treated with prescription steroid cream.
Restless Leg Syndrome with no treatment (I was offered medication and I declined.)
Heel Spur, Plantar Fasciitis and Tendonitis treated with stretching and orthopedic shoes. (I was offered cortisone injections and declined.)
I have seen many doctors and all they do is prescribe medications. I feel like they dismiss my symptoms and do not really listen. None of my issues seem to be related.
