ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I woke up from surgery in July 2018 off balance and dizzy. I am still suffering from dizziness and being off balance. I kinda walk like I am drunk. I have saccadic eye movements which I am told proves I have something wrong with my cerebellum. I have had multiple MRis of my brain all of which come out normally. I have had a VNG of my ears to rule out vestibular issues. I have a neurologist and a great PT, but no one can tell me what happened to me. No one knows if I will ever walk normally again. This has completely changed my life. I have problems doing laundry, housework, and yard work. I am currently using a scooter to help me get around at work. I am a teacher. I am 48 years old and using a cane. I can't do things that have a lot of visual stimulus, it makes me dizzy. I would really like to know what happened to me in that surgery. I need to be able to walk normally. I have a lot of pain in my neck on a daily basis. I have been in PT for the last year and continue to go 2xs a week.I am very frustrated and over this whole thing. I want to know what happened to me and how we can fix it.
