- CASE FILE
Chronic coughing, chocking and vomiting. Except after hiatal hernia surgery it is just the heaving.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I started having a chronic cough with gagging and heaving in about 2004. Was told it was heart burn and irritating my throat because I had a hiatal hernia. Had surgery and still coughing, gagging and now I can't throw up. I can be sitting at my desk and have a gagging and coughing fit. I do this 12 - 15 times a day. All my coworkers are sick of listening to me. I never have a meal without an interruption. Coughing and or the feeling that a brick is stuck in my throat. The episodes are severe they give me a headache. My back and chest area are always sore and ache. Was told it was neuropathy and gave me Tramadol and Nortriptyline. Neither works and my fits continue. Please Help!!
