ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
For the last several months Upon standing my blood pressure spikes to 200/150s my resting blood pressure is 130/110. My heart rate is always high as I have inappropriate sinus tach, however immediately on standing it’s 160s. I Am unable to tolerate sitting or standing for any lengths of time. I have tried, compressions stockings, beta blockers, calcium Chanel blockers. For the last several months I have severe pressure in my head upon standing and recently admitted to the hospital for 10 days for a spontaneous CSF leak, however no confirmation on imaging, MRV CT myleogram, CT head, MRI. I had a blood patch outpatient felt some relief in symptoms for 4 days and now my symptoms have returned. I have been seeing a cardiologist for the last several years for POTS and inappropriate sinus tach my symptoms have been under control with a high salt diet and methlydopa 259mg TID for years until now. I have a new appointment with a EP doctor in 6 weeks but I can’t function!! I have have never had such pain, fatigue ( sleeping 12 hours a night) , dizziness, shortness of breath. I’m at a loss..: I was fine before now .
