Debilitating stomach pain, fever, migraines, fatigue, and now chest pains. for the last 5 years.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I began having migraines at 16yrs old. I have been on different preventatives ect. over the years. I was having them daily and now its only 1 a week. sometimes more. At 32, I was having cramping. It was so painful I couldn't stand up at times. Dr. Did a hysterectomy then a month later I was in the er with severe and sharp upper stomach pain. Ended up having my gallbladder removed. The dr. said it didn't look that bad and shouldn't have been causing me as much pain as I was in. I was pain free for 2 months. I then started having episodes with severe stomach pain, low grade fever, nausea, sulfa burps and vomiting. They lasted 1 to 2 days. on Day 3 I could function again but was very tired and weak. These episodes happen about 1 time a month. The stomach pain is sharp and located just under my sternum in the center. It feels like a sharp stabbing pain and is always accompanied by a low grade fever. A year ago I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation which explains the headaches and dizzyness.
A month ago a new symptom was added. I had chest pain, high blood pressure, and dizziness. The er said it was inflammation in my chest and gave me muscle relaxers and steroids. It did nothing. In July the 1st few days it was chest pain, the next week it was the stomach pain, the third week it was stomach pain and chest pain at the same time. The er is now treating me for an ulcer. I am now on a ton of medication.
I never know if I will be out doing something and have an attack. I cannot make plans for anything because I don't know how I will feel from day to day.
I have been referred to a GI doctor, and neurosurgeon but insurance wont pay for specialist.
