ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My wife suffers from chronic pain associated with severe muscular tightening of her extremities and facial muscles that occur every time she lays down. It happens with 15 to 20 minutes. Her arms and legs have to be manually unlocked which can take up to an hour or more every morning. Opioids have had no affect on lessening her pain. Muscle relaxers have had no affect. She also suffers from epilepsy and has a VNS implant. She has seen over 30 doctors and has been to 5 hospitals. With no diagnosis she has undergone every possible test including recent genetic testing. Her current neurologist is looking for other specialists to see her as I write this. Her quality of life has suffered greatly it has cost her friends and the ability to work with and help children. No medications even Fentanyl have relived her pain. Through all of this her positive attitude has never wavered and she hopes any diagnosis found can help others.
