Hip replacement, nosocomial infection. Joint clean out, 5 months of IV Ab. Joint out, temp spacer in, 4 months/ Ab still signs of infection.

Hip joint replacement in Sept 18 developed nosocomial infection. Joint clean out three weeks later. Five months of various IV antibiotics and joint removed, temp spacer put in due to ongoing signs of infection. Four months with spacer and additional IV antibiotics. Still showing signs of infection. Terrible weight gain, 10+ lbs in one months. Prior to initial replacement was overall healthy, active and able to run a 10k.
