Fatigue, heart flutters, joint pain, hives
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
My issues started in my early 20's after the birth of my second child. I had Toxemia and have suffered from high blood pressure since then. Soon after I started having heart flutters and almost passing out. I started getting winded easily even though I did aerobics while pregnant until I was put on bed rest. I was always very active. It was like a light switch was flipped. I felt tired and achy. I would tell my doctor that I felt like a 90 year old woman. The years passed and I "dealt" with it because most of the doctor's thought I was crazy because my blood work was always within normal range. Then the brain fog set in. I couldn't think or retain information and I was tired all the time. This made it very hard to work in the business I was in so I changed jobs. By the time I hit 40 I had hives from head to toe and I was miserable! Then I started having severe joint pain all over but mainly in my arms, shoulders and wrist. I feel like I have to will myself to walk some days. They couldn't figure out what was causing the hives or the joint pain. I've tested positive for Lupus - but I don't have lupus they "think" it's Fibromyalgia and a combination of Hypothyroidism. That's what I'm being treated for but I still have hives and extreme fatigue. I've also never been able to find out why I have heart flutters and almost pass out on a monthly basis. The Cymbalta and Myloxecam does help the pain but it would be nice to have a real answer. Sometimes it feels like they are just throwing pills at me because they don't know what's wrong. I do have Mitral Valve Prolapse but they say it shouldn't be causing any of these symptoms. I've been to numerous specialists- Endocrinologist, Rheumatologist, Cardiologist, Allergist. I'm tired of the guessing game and just want to feel good again.
