- CASE FILE
I am a 25 year old female who was diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis at the age of 18. I have tried multiple treatments with no success.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have Interstitial Cystits. It is a bladder disease that causes urgency, frequency, and pain. Someone with IC can urinate up to 60 times a day. There is no known cause for it and no known cure. My symptoms include urgency, frequency, and pelvic pain. I have tried multiple treatments over the last 7 years and all have failed. Many doctors I have seen say that cannot help or have run out of options to help treat me. I have tried medications, diet, pelvic floor therapy, and multiples surgeries. I am running out of options and would love to be able to live a full life again. This disease has robbed me of having a full time teaching career which I would love to teach one day. This disease needs to be known which is why I held a fundraiser for it last year and raised money to be donated to the IC Association.
