- CASE FILE
4 years of non-specific tests followed by countless blood tests, endoscopes, colonoscopies, and various other tests with no answers.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have had multiple non-specific symptoms, usually related to GI, for 4 years. I have been written off by many doctors (12 types of specialist to be exact) and no answers. I am beyond exhausted. I can't do things I used to because I don't have the energy. I can't eat without fear of severe abdominal pain. I am allergic to pork and beef. My stomach all but stops working if I eat these. Most symptoms are in cyclical pattern. I have some for a period of time then it changes to something else. I frequently cough up mucous. I'm always nauseous. Most days I experience severe pain somewhere in my body, usually stomach or head. I tend to have a resting heart rate of 100bpm. My back usually hurts in the area of my kidneys. I get dizzy spells, blurry vision, restless leg syndrome, painful nerve issues in my legs and tingling in my legs. I don't absorb B12 or Vitamin D very well. My gallbladder was removed which made everything worse. I have been diagnosed with fatty liver, but my liver counts came back down. I have been told my stomach also empties a little slower than usual.
I can't continue to try and go through daily life not knowing what is going to hurt today, will I be dizzy all day, will my legs start going numb and tingling, will I ever not be nauseous, will this food I eat every other day decide to cause severe pain?
I need an answer and for someone to not write me off. I've had tons of blood tests, endoscopes, colonoscopies, MRI, gastric emptying test and various other tests. I've tried multiple medicines, most of which I reacted to and didn't help. My current doctor (who's great!) thinks it may be vascular issues or I may need to try another rheumatologist.
There's probably more, but it's hard for me to remember what hurts on what day and when. This all started with a 12 hour severe stomach bug that potentially came from a river walk.
