- CASE FILE
I was diagnosed with takayasu arteritis by one dr but had another dr disagree. The dr that disagrees has not come up with diagnosis.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I was hospitalized for a month due to a brain bleed. I went to bed one afternoon because of a headache and woke up 2 weeks later (according to myself). A few hours after I fell asleep my husband woke me up to try and get me to eat but I was talking gibberish. He rushed me to the hospital. During my stay I would apparently scream in pain and carry on conversations with only my sister. None of which I remember. After I got out, I have had short term memory issues, pain in all my joints, sensitive teeth, vision impairment and major hair loss. I have not been able to keep a job due to my memory issues. I have also been told that I have changed. I apparently now struggle with etiquette. I was sent home with monthly check ups where I have been told I am fine and it takes time to feel normal again. I was on azathioprine, prednisone, carbamazepine, fluoxetine, celecoxib and dapsone. I am currently not on any medication and feel like I am in the road to recovery. But I want to know what I had. Can it happen again? Why did it happen? Will the memory issues go away? Will I get my old self back? When will the pain go away?
