- CASE FILE
SUMMARY
46 yr old female with fatigue & tiredness as my main concerns. I also have intermittent chest pain, night sweats, no appetite, and nausea.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I've been fighting constant fatigue and tiredness. I do sleep with a bi-pap machine but shortly after I wake up I am tired out to where I need a nap. A little more about me medically:
I've battled depression & anxiety for several years, I see a therapist and psychiatrist regularly & I'm on medications that are working. Mentally I think I am okay except for feeling a little off sorts at times.
I have a congenital heart defect that was repaired back in 1981 when I was 8. I also have cardiomyopathy & congestive heart failure and I've got an ICD implant in my chest. It paces my heart as needed, corrects it with pacing, and will also act as a defibrillator if my heart goes into a bad rhythm. I've had a recent check up & my condition is stable. I occasionally have chest pains but they are resolved with the use of nitroglycerin tabs.
Recently I started to experience excessive sweating mainly at night but I also get it during the daytime now. I sweat so profusely to where I look like I have just come out of the shower.
I have hypothyroidism but my thyroid has been checked & everything was fine. Medication is working and keeping levels normal.
I've got little to no appetite. I experience severe nausea at times. I have been getting headaches more frequently and some are migraines. Recently had a blood work up done and everything was good except for my iron levels being on the low side of normal. I am on an iron supplement to help raise it some.
In summary, my complaints are: increasing constant fatigue, tiredness/no energy, severe nausea, no appetite, more frequent headaches, and night sweats & excessive daytime sweating. Mentally I feel normal, there are no signs of worsening depression. I've basically been checked over head to toe and everything is "normal" or within normal limits. **Update** I have an EGD scheduled for Friday, Sept 13. I've got constant nausea, loss of appetite, and no interest in foods--even my favorite ones.
