- CASE FILE
I am 51 years old and I have a host of symptoms and allergies. I am fed up with my 13 doctors, 11 of which are specialists and the cost.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have been diagnosed with Epstein Barr Virus, Coronary Artery Disease, Enlarge Lymph Nodes, Herniated discs/arthritis/Spurring/bridging throughout my entire spine, costochondritis and painful ribs that lose alignment, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, sleep apnea, GERD, T10 fracture, Talus Fracture, Tendinitis of both hips, very painful pelvis, sexual dysfunction, diabetes, anxiety, widespread numbness and tingling, trouble walking, sitting and laying down. I've been in physical therapy for 27 years. My abdomen swells to 3x its size, I have to take Carafate in order to eat. I get lightheaded and lose my balance often. I have burning lips and tongue, my skin feels like it is being burned with acid, my joints throb in unison like a heartbeat. I have had extensive testing radiology and lab work. I am allergic to all of my diabetes medications and a host of other medications. If I bend over I can barely get back up. My doctors tell me not to look for an "umbrella" diagnosis. I believe it is all connected. I have the spine of an 85 year old. I have felt what I believe is systematic debilitation. I haven't been able to work for 6 years. I've been told to go to the Mayo Clinic by 4 of my specialists. I get exhausted in an instant and start yawning getting progressively worse where I'm yawning so hard my jaws hurt and I'll yawn 3 time per minute until I can lay down. Most days I just want to give up the fight of finding a diagnosis and the right treatment. I am 51 years old and my life is severely limited. I take at least 14 pills per day. There has got to be a reason for it.
