- CASE FILE
Have a skin condition for going on 10 years, nearly all over my body. Started with a few spots, now I don't even want to go out or be seen.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
Start usually smaller than a pin head. Then Fester and have grown all over my body. Very painful and have gotten so bad that it's difficult to sit (for the ones on my backside), and have finally made it to my neck, head and face. I feel like I have leprosy. Ashamed to be seen. It's getting to the point where I want to hide and not go out anywhere. I'm a veteran, and have been to the VA dermatologist several times over the last 8 years. Last time I went to the VA doctor, he asked why I was there, even though he knew why. He told me, that he went to school and got his degree and has been in his profession for numerous years, and KNEW everything. So I asked him, if you know so much, why can't you help me. Never got an answer. I've had biopsies (inclusive), have been to private dermatologist and even other doctors to no avail. I believe it's some sort of skin mite or parasite, and have pulled these things out of my skin. But when looked at under a microscope (by the doctors), been told they are just skin cells. I disagree, even I can see something that is not normal. To me, they have form, almost like a worm (they vary depending on the size and stage of development), and body structure. Can't always get the whole thing. When I do, looks like they have various apertures such as a head, tail, limbs and feeler type hairs and root with a foot or ball which seems to be like an anchor. It digs it's way down to find a place to hook into and feed off my body. Then it postulates and multiplies. Was told by a friend I should try and find a diagnostician, but would need to find one (I believe),who specializes in insects and infections of the skin. Just don't know what to anymore. Not sure what else to say.
