- CASE FILE
When I started college almost a year ago, I began experiencing seemingly random pain all over my body.
ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I have pain that can feel like pins and needles, like a really bad bruise, or stabbing pain, varying in how long they last, randomly all over my body (in both muscles and joints). I have spasms that feel like they start in the base of my skull and move down my spine, making my upper body and head jerk. I get extremely painful headache/migraines that come in waves, usually around my eyes, and sometimes it's just pain in my eyes themselves. More recently I've started occasionally going numb in my extremities, I've had heartburn about 3 times/week, occasional stomach pain, and nausea that occurs 2-4 times a week. My periods have always been very painful; cramps that have been so bad I've nearly blacked out, heavy bleeding, and migraines. I sleep a lot, sometimes more than eleven hours in a night and yet I'm tired during the day. I take cymbalta, a low hormone birth control and prescription xyzal. I do have a family history of fibromyalgia and diverticulitis. All my blood work has come back normal and a CT scan for a concussion I had 3-4 years ago was normal. I'm 19 and want my life back!
