ABOUT THIS CASE FILE
I've had several issues over the past 10 years, and the doctors have been unable to connect the dots. Recently, things have gotten much worse. I'm only 33 years old, a military spouse, and have three children I want to see grow up. I have had iritis seven times over the last 9 years. Two years ago I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis as I was urinating 20 to 30 times a day and had immense bladder pain. I also suffered from unexplained cervicitis with no infection of any sort. I also suffer from fatigue and joint pain. This March I nearly bled out as I went to the ER with stomach pain. The doctors diagnosed it as appendicitis. When they went in laparoscopically, they found my abdomen full of blood. While I did have appendicitis, my spleen was twice its normal size and had ruptured. The lymph nodes in my intestines were also all very swollen. They still do not know why my spleen rupture as this usually occurs with trauma, but I had simply been home with my kids. A couple of months ago I became short of breath, after imaging at the ER, they found I have extensive pulmonary embolisms. Again, they do not know what this was caused by. I have seen a Rheumatologist, but DNA testing shows I do not gave markers for certain autoimmune disease. I have a sister who suffers from Lupus and another sister with Ehlers-Danos syndrome. I want to find out what this is so I can do whatever is necessary to prevent future organ rupture or life-threatening situations. Any help would be so wonderful.
